Traditional rural music does not know sheet music, it lives and sounds as long as its performers, and they are slowly passing away. In "Agonia" we observe the twilight of this reality through the eyes of the singer and instrumentalist Adam Strug. It is a film story about trying to stop time. But also about the slow distortion of a once diverse musical phenomenon: the eating away of what is real by commercialism and simplification. "Agonia" is a road movie, leading the viewer through various regions and various musical traditions of Poland. A multi-layered story about love, bitterness, life and transience.
