For centuries, Turks and Bulgarians have coexisted in one Bulgarian village. In the late 80s of the 20th century, the communist authorities forcibly changed the names of the Turks, replacing them with Bulgarian. There were unrest, many Turks emigrated. Today, many have returned, but their relations with the Bulgarians are complicated. The tension is felt even in children's games.
