A mountaineering page told by the best climbers of the last 40 years. The Tre Cime di Lavaredo, in the Dolomites, offers the most impressive concentration of overhanging walls of all the Alps. At the end of the 1950s, the challenge between European mountaineers to secure the "first" of the last virgin walls was alive and well: among the "duelists" also two Swiss: Hugo Weber and Albin Schelbert who in 59 attempted the ascent of the overhang of the Cima Ovest.
