When Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the young dynamic chief engineer of the Great Western Railway, built Templemeads Station in 1841, Bristol took its rightful place on the great British railway map. Travel "off track" to visit Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge before taking the journey by train from Templemeads to Plymouth and the unique iron bridge that was the new gateway to Cornwall.
