Memories of Earth explores the Haida people, who for over 10,000 years have inhabited the Queen Charlotte Islands-or what they call Haida Gwaii ("Our Land") just off the coast of British Columbia. A mixture of animated art by Frédérick Back and beautiful nature cinematography, Memories of Earth shares the creation myths of the Haida and also documents the disastrous effect of outside influences on a culture that is based on living in balance with the Earth.
