This is a story of a journey by land and by sea. In the early 1940s, thousands of Jewish children from Central Europe, fleeing from the war, cross the territory of Hitler's ally Bulgaria and reach the promised land, Palestine. Many people contributed to this unique and dangerous voyage: diplomats, politicians, and even adventurers.
