Everyone comes to the Penny-Markt on the Reeperbahn: dock workers from the Landungsbrücken, former neighborhood thugs, survival artists and bargain hunters. The supermarket is open daily until 11pm. Even at Christmas and New Year's Eve you can get the essentials at the discount store. Many regular customers enter the store already at 7 a.m. drunk.
