A reflective documentary about the ill-fated life of Giuseppe Tommasi. Aged 44, emaciated and suffering from AIDS and cancer, he looks back with wisdom at his life of turmoil from the bed of a Zurich Lighthouse hospice. Born to Italian immigrant parents, Giuseppe was adopted as a child in Switzerland, but not into a loving home. He was handsome and intelligent, however he never managed to find his place in society. He left his career, abandoned his wife and children, and spiraled down into drug addiction. Now, facing death, he reflects on his life and questions his motivation and his actions. Director Mehdi Sahebi details Giuseppe’s brutally honest way of dealing with his own past, coming to terms with it and providing answers for his children.
