In June of 2008, after many months of rain, the Mississippi River overflowed breaking through levees and flooding surrounding communities and farms. Quincy, Illinois TV station WGEM takes an in-depth look at their coverage of the events in parts of Missouri, Iowa and Illinois. You will see appearances by former U.S President Barack Obama, who was serving as an Illinois Senator and national media correspondents such as weather journalist Al Roker, all lend their support during the disaster.
