Mike Imperio's dream of becoming a musician started during his teens when he saw two men perform at his church. Shortly after, he took out his first loan and purchased a guitar. Fast-forward through a string of songs, marriages, and four children to today and Mike finds himself isolated from his family and living on the streets of Corvallis, Oregon playing music for handouts. Never Walk Away follows the path of his life through revealing interviews with both Mike and his estranged sister living in Redding, California. Camera rolling, Mike hosts a tour of his day-to-day world of busking and collecting deposit-able cans from OSU tailgating events. When the unfortunate news reaches him that his youngest daughter has been taken to an emergency room Mike's world comes to a head-on a collision between past and present. Complete with a Greek chorus of Mike's homeless peers who live illegally on the streets of one of America's smartest and most livable cities, Never Walk Away presents a unique juxtaposition of success and failure for both individuals and society alike. Soundtrack: In the course of producing the soundtrack for Never Walk Away, Mike was taken literally from the street and into a studio to produce an original and raw set of recordings.
