Life is looking good for Simon Cole. He's a successful filmmaker and the director of one of Britain's most popular films. He loves his job, his beautiful wife and his car - what more could a man desire? Everything is looking rosy, at least from the outside. But Simon Cole has a gaping hole inside. Something is missing. Could it be a missing connection to God? This documentary, the first collaboration from the acclaimed Cole Brothers (Ben, Nigel and Simon Cole), is a witty, exploratory journey across America in search of God in different cultures. On his travels the filmmaker and protagonist meets with Mormons, Muslims, Jews and Jehovahs in hope they can help to fill the hole he feels inside him. The film approaches complex yet universal questions about God and religion in an entirely accessible way.
