As Mexico celebrates 200 years of independence and 100 years of revolution, this documentary features the lives of several young men and women living in a small town in southwestern Mexico. They experience psychological violence as they battle binge drinking, others must survive love, and a few find a way to leave and embrace other opportunities abroad. This intimate portrait gives us a profound glimpse of what this nation is really going through while it celebrates its culture and traditions. Produced over three years and in four countries, this is the only documentary focusing on young men and women made during and for Mexico's bicentennial--this is a universal story of love, alcoholism, violence and hope.
