In the midst of a military dictatorship, a group of young leftist militants decided to study theater as a way to continue their political activity without going completely to the clandestine that was pushed by state repression. There Uviedo and his provocations entered the scene: the avant-garde (in all its meanings) was born Workshop of Investigations Theatrical. After the forced flight to Brazil, his disciples went after Uviedo and created an organization to give shelter to poor children. There, even today, the old master works as a shaman to keep the group and remains faithful to its principles, always provocative, always defiant, believing that art and creation are the best weapons to defeat the evils of this world.
