The two young boys, Joel and Jordi, received a bone and a corneal transplantation a few years ago. Based on their story and the testimony of their families, Joel and Jordi allowed us to gain a direct insight into both of their cases and to see how the tissue transplantation have improved the quality of their lives. Based on their social and family settings and their daily activities, the documentary film The other Transplants shows the personal progress they made after the intervention, the tough decision a donor family has to make and the difficult medical task to convert death into life expectancy.
