Mauthausen Railway Station was the starting point of a Via Crucis for thousands of people who were victims of Nazism, as it happened to both characters of 'Toll station'. The prisoners arrived there from different places and nationalities, and carried on their way to the concentration camp. Train trips are as our lives, they cross stations. Transit places, meeting points with other passengers getting on and off. But the station in this film was a forced destination. Something they never planned, caused by an evil that has been repeated throughout our history: human intolerance.
