"The Fish of Bosphorus" documentary pictures one century of Istanbul and Bosphorus reaching today from the viewpoint of the changing of the fish, fishermen, sea and city. Starting with a rich sea and a culture of life intertwined with the sea, how did we end up in today's situation where campaigns such as "How Long Is Yours?", "Don't Let Istanbul Long for Bluefish!" and so forth are needed to be held? Especially when we consider the fact that fish was used to be consumed as if bread in Istanbul. On one hand are the city culture with fish and sea, and nostalgia; on the other the knowledge of "the upcoming extinction of most of the fish species in 2048" and the signs of drifting towards a time when we will only be able to show our children what fish is through photographs. The One-Century Bosphorus adventure is accompanied by motion archive images and old Istanbul pictures, the memories of old fishermen, conversations on the studies of academicians and NGOs, and infographics and animations ornamenting the expression.
