The donation of one's eyes in Nepal takes on special significance as the religious culture has adjusted to accommodate both the Hindu and Buddhist beliefs, but in a unique way as this tiny team of three technicians removes corneas during the holy funerals in Nepal's major temples, and saves the sight of awaiting recipients. While cataract surgery has been explored in previous documentaries, the more difficult corneal blindness requires the last sacrifice of the rich and the poor, before the ashes of the cremated bodies are swept into the Holy Bagmati River.
