Afflicted with hepatitis C, Tania "fled" France, where she refused to seek treatment, to Guatemala. She became closer to the Mayan people and adopted the lifestyle and customs of the locals. Leading a marginal existence, tasting the freedom she chose, she rests in a wilderness threatened by the economic appetites of the white man.
