With the rising sun of the 3rd of August 2014, the terror troops of the Islamic State descend upon the region Shingal in Northern Iraq. Their blood lust's victims are the Yezidis, an ancient independent religion. Jaed (15) and his younger sister Rukan (11) are captured and have to witness their father's execution before they get a chance to escape and flee into the mountains, where they come upon the banished survivors of their religion.
