75 teams, 1200 dogs, minus 50 ° C, 1750 km across Alaska. The Iditarod race is not only an event of national importance in Alaska, but also the longest and hardest dog sled race in the world. For the trapper and film director Nicolas Vanier, this was his last expedition and also an ultimate challenge in ice and snow. From the elaborate preparations across the long distance surrounded by epic and untouched nature to crossing the finish line, the extraordinary documentary accompanies a sporty and emotionally extreme adventure with breathtaking air - and captivating close-ups of huskies in fascinating landscapes.
