The film follows Sari before pregnancy until after giving birth. Her incredible strength and courage has brought this mother to life, and to continue to be responsible for the family. For her there is no way out, quitting from her job as an unofficial traffic attendant is not an option. Pregnant for the 5th time puts Sari in to a busier schedule. She is traumatic and doesn't trust hospitals. Then the answer is simply to work more hours to save pennies to pay a midwife she trusts. Director's Statement on the Topic, Story and Approach: As stated above in the topic summary, this matter seems to be continuously in existence regardless promises some politicians to proclaim in their campaigns. I found it too much of a challenge without possibility to produce film with a lot of facts and numbers covered from all slides to make something in a good balance. The decision was I picked an approach that was as if this film was a narrative with Sari as protagonist. Other supporting layers were led by supporting actors. This approach has put me away from wanting to make a journalistic documentary. For this, it took me 5 years to work on the project for I had to work much closer with editor and did much corrections. Director's Experience on the Topic: My mother went through the same situation as Sari. The end was, before she finally died from illness all of us in the family had to leave school. At the same time, our father left us.
