On the occasion of Holi (the festival of colors), in the sleepy town of Shahjahanpur in north India, a ritual is followed which is not found in any other part of the country. The sleepy town not only wakes up but goes berserk - literally as a procession of almost 10,000 people follows a man gotten drunk to the extent of being unconscious. 'Laatsahab' is tied up on a bullock cart and made to wear a garland of shoes and paraded through the city on the account of a bizarre tradition which has lasted more than a 100 years.
