The Catalan sculptor Xicu Cabanyes i Cullell (Serinyà, September 29, 1945) bought a plot of forest in 1976 in the municipality of Porqueres, near Banyoles. There he has his statues, many of them erotic or political. Together with his assistant, Marc Estany, they continue tirelessly creating all kinds of works of art in a space away from the worldly noise and illuminated by passion and illusion.
