A WORLD WITHOUT CORAL REEFS WOULD BE AN INFINITELY POORER PLACE Hotspots of biodiversity, coral reefs support 25 percent of global marine life. But they are facing extinction from rising global temperatures and increased water acidification. Once blooming with color and home to countless life forms, many of the world's diverse underwater ecosystems have been transformed into ghostly white landscapes on the Ocean floor. Yet, life struggles on in these bleached coral reefs as marine animals try to adapt and ultimately fight for their survival beneath the suffering coral.
