A film about the famous jazzman Igor Butman. How did a boy from Soviet Leningrad manage to step into the big world of jazz music? And what role did Sergei Kuryokhin, Dave Brubeck, Winton Marsalis and Bill Clinton play in his life? The details of rehearsals and concerts, the secrets of family traditions, the frank stories of the musician's friends create an interesting picture of the being of a person striving for his dream.
