I hear! An active verb but rare at the time us.  What if all these voices were heard?  What would happen if you were really listening too?  And if they told you they would listen to you would you speak up or stay silent?
 The film was made in the context of the 5th Panorama Film School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the theme DEACTIVATION.

Actor means light, but for some male actors it also means football. The team of the association of Greek actors with a history of over fifty years plays games, sometimes for charitable purposes, sometimes for the press championship having won titles and distinctions. In the feature-length documentary The Role of the Game, we focus on the composition of the team for the year 2020. We started covering their games, but after the first weeks the measures for the coronavirus put an end to the football games. On this occasion, as it is a historical condition, the focus from the field was turned to the members of the team and the role that the game has in their lives, depending on the roles that the actors and members of the team have to cover on stage and on television. Through interviews, the camera lens zoomed in on these people who have chosen to be professional actors and every Saturday to step on the pitch, as part of a larger ensemble, that of the team and to be defined as friends or family. The game for them is a commitment and priority and despite the quarrels, disagreements and tensions, as on the stage the actors work as a whole, so on the field they become one for the best match. Identifying the qualities and their different roles, on and off stage and on the field as a function and a common agreement between men and friends. The unbalanced pandemic due to the pandemic is an emotional burden that has fatally affected them at the moment, as this lost time is less time than they have the margin to play football.
