However, his work is not met with a spectacular fusion of souls, but with misunderstanding, which is especially supported by his mother. Thus begins the play in which the Russian playwright Chekhov, intertwined with love and artistic desires, creates a picture of human suffering at the threshold of the 20th century - in place of famous deeds and romantic heroes, the pains of modern man stand. The Seagull production by the National Theater Brno is looking for stage poetry in a non-poetic age. The recording was made on the stage of the magnificent Mahen Theater from the 19th century.
