Eight months after the outbreak of the E-026 Virus, a young boy and his grandfather set out across a ravaged Scotland in search of a fabled Safe Zone, believed to be the only remaining settlement for survivors. As they cross the country, they must confront the ways of this cut-throat world and contend with ruthless human factions who will do everything and anything to survive, and the legions of infected that relentlessly hunt what's left of humanity.
