In the 1960s, it became clear that art in our country was the second power. And when the first power total, state controlled reduced its sphere of influence, though remaining in people's minds and hearts, art began to claim primacy in the struggle for those same hearts and minds. The artist, director, and actor became the cultural heroes of a new era. In this program, representatives of three generations of Russian filmmakers reflect on the Thaw period in 1960s cinema, which evolved into the great cinematic era of the 1970s. It was then that an actor's face was freed from the "mask" and became the open face of a hero of their time. How did this face emerge? How did it transform over the years?
