The history of the Julian Rózycki bazaar in Warsaw's Praga district dates back to 1882. Thanks to memories, imagination and documentation, it is possible to recreate its history from the end of the 19th century, through the period of growth and interwar splendor. The resettlement of Jews to the ghetto significantly weakened trade, but Germans also participated in it. The legendary Wincenty Andruszkiewicz, a former sailor and founder of a post-war restaurant, dealt in weapons.
