Khinna is the story of Aveen Kumar, depicting his entrepreneurial journey, his internal conflicts and also the guilt and regrets that he carries from his personal life, all of which seem to have an effect on his professional life. The financial struggles of being an entrepreneur, the sadness that comes from loneliness and the helplessness that arises from the same are showcased in Aveen's story. Through Khinna, we also wish to showcase the hollowness, sadness, frustration and anger that is hidden behind a cheery hello or a plastic smile on the faces of many people. Alongside, we also wish to highlight the lack of a proper social structure for people who are dealing with financial crisis and the emanating emotional turmoil from the same. Khinna shows us that how, at times, past baggage and emotional trauma from past decisions can accentuate the feeling of sadness, depression and exacerbate the degradation of mental health. Khinna talks about the absence and the dire need of support for such people.
