On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of CERN in Geneva, ERTNEWS will broadcast the documentary "CERN 70 Years - The Greek Footprint". The documentary is curated and presented by ERT journalist Andriana Paraskevopoulou. ERT's camera ventured to the European Organization for Nuclear Research, 100 meters below the Earth's surface, on the French-Swiss border, where scientists strive to recreate the conditions of the Big Bang by colliding protons at the speed of light. Greece has a strong presence at CERN, with Professor Kostas Fountas serving as the President of CERN's Council and over 300 Greek scientists actively contributing to the organization. Some of these scientists shared their insights with ERT.
