A Baja native, he's produced and directed music videos for some of Mexico's most famous music groups, as well as several documentary films celebrating life along the US-Mexico border.

In 2007, his documentary short "Los ilegales," with its backing track performed by the Grammy-winning Mexican band, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, won the inaugural Angel award for best short film at the Monaco International Film Festival.
