Born and raised in Florence, Alabama, Nick Salter comes from a theatre background where he studied and performed throughout high school and college. He graduated from the University of North Alabama with a degree in Theatre and Professional Writing.

Upon graduation, Salter moved to the Hollywood area to work in the film, TV, commercial, and entertainment communities.
