Mark McClain Wilson was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended the University of Michigan where he double majored in Theatre and English and where he became heavily involved with a theatre troupe called The Dilettente Theatre Group West. Upon graduation, he spent time in Paris, Prague, and Edinburgh, where he worked with the Bedlam Theatre Company. When he returned to the States, he co-produced and starred in the feature film, "The Four Corners of Nowhere", which was written and directed by his high school classmate, Stephen Chbosky. The film went on to the dramatic competition at the Sundance Film Festival and received limited distribution in the U.S. Wilson lived several years in New York City, working extensively in theatre and independent film, before moving to Los Angeles, where he now resides. In addition to his film and stage with as an actor, Wilson works extensively in L.A. as a sound designer, director, and writer. He is also a member of the band "Bad, Wicked, Naughty Zoot". He has been nominated for the Ovation Awards, the L.A. Weekly Awards, and the Garland Awards for his stage work in Los Angeles.
