Clovis Kasanda is a Swiss actor and speaker. He was born in the DR Congo, in Kinshasa and grew up in Lucerne. In Paris he graduated from the drama schools Jacques Lecoq and École E.V.A. Stage, street theater and film roles in Paris, London, Marrakech and Switzerland followed. In spring 2016, Clovis was nominated for the Acting Award at the Fitue International Theater Festival in Essaouira for his role as Don Jose. In 2021, the short film "Allein" (Luisa Wolf) won the Swisscom Blue Open Stage Prize, in which Clovis Kasanda also plays. He can be seen in the films Une histoire Provisoire (Romed Wyder), Paxmal (Sven Schnyder), A Girl from Mogadishu (Mary McGuckian) and Theo: Eine Konversation mit der Ehrlichkeit (Damien Hauer), among others.
