Spencer Trinwith is a director, writer, and actor. Trinwith graduated from American University School of Film and Media Arts with a master's degree in film and digital media and was a Merit Award recipient. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the North Carolina School of the Arts. Trinwith is the creator, director, and writer of the documentary La Fiera: The Piera Rodriguez Story based on the story of MMA fighter Piera Rodriguez and her travels to the United States from Venezuela with the ambition of being signed as a professional fighter. This film will be his festival debut as a first-time filmmaker.

During his time at American University, he worked as a 1st Assistant Director to British filmmaker Blaze LoveJoy on her latest feature film The Zompocalypse Therapy Sessions, filmed in Los Angeles. He is the co-creator, co-writer, and director of a political satire based on Washington, DC geopolitics, King of K Street, slated for completion in 2022. He is the creator, visual effects and voice-over artist for the medieval-themed animated film, Crenels and Merlons, to be released in 2022.

As an actor, Trinwith has appeared on television in Law & Order: SVU alongside special guest star, Sharon Stone as well as the television show VEEP with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Hugh Laurie. His films have appeared in worldwide international film festivals garnering awards for Best Picture and Best Actor. Trinwith made his feature film debut as an actor in the sequel Woman Woman 1984 released on Christmas Day, 2020. He had several films released in 2021 including a thriller by festival winning directors Ramin Niami, Eye Without a Face and Angel Kristi Williams in the SXSW Grand Jury Nominated film Really Love, where Trinwith is co-starring with actor Kofi Siriboe.

Spencer's professional theater credits are extensive. He played Norm in Suicide, Incorporated in Washington, DC to stellar reviews. He also starred in an adaptation of the Stanley Tucci film "Blind Date" titled The Personals, for the stage. He has played the title role in Scapino, the lead role of Matt Poncelet in Dead Man Walking, and the much coveted title role in Shakespeare's Richard III.

Musically, Trinwith has toured with Hedwig and the Angry Inch playing guitar, and has played and written for several indie rock bands in New York and Los Angeles which have signed with Universal Vivendi and Verve Records.
