Layne Hannemann - Actor, writer, singer, choreographer, and Polynesian cultural advisor.

Born and raised in Los Angeles and with a strong Polynesian heritage of Maori, Hawaiian, and Samoan, Layne has worked with major studios such as Disney and Universal. He has worked alongside major stars such as Dwayne Johnson and has worked with producers, directors, and writers such as Osnat Shurer, Hiram Garcia, Ron Clements, David Leitch, and Chris Morgan to name a few.

As a cultural advisor for Disney's Moana, Layne assisted in the Polynesian aspects of the film from dance, music, voice, character, and scene. You will notice his sharp moves through the Kakamora and hear his voice reference through non-English lines of Maui. In Fast 8, The Fate of the Furious, he created, choreographed, and taught the 'Haka' presented in the film. And his latest project, part of the creative team of the 'Siva Tau' in Universal's, Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw where he was also a Polynesian Cultural advisor/liaison for the 'SAMOAN' scenes in the film.

With the Polynesian Culture becoming ever so popular in film and media, Layne realizes the importance of maintaining a balance between what "Hollywood" expects and what "Culture" deems appropriate. There is an ever-growing need for authenticity, yet Layne knows how to deliver cinematography excellence while preserving cultural authenticity.

Happily married to his wife Trisha Talanoa-Hannemann, Layne's focus is on Polynesian Culture authenticity throughout entertainment...with the occasional creation of a Haka or Siva where needed. He is also concentrated on getting his kids; Khloe'Grace, Zealand'Reign, Tiger'Lilly, Rock'Steady, and City'Love ready for their acting careers.

Layne, along with his team of Polynesian Cultural experts, remains ready to assist in any capacity concerning Polynesian culture. Whether grand or small, "hit the LIGHTS, focus the CAMERA, and let's get to ACTION"
