A Marine Corps brat from Boston, Michael Andrew Barker grew up in Japan and Rhode Island, playing hockey and captaining his high school tennis team to the State Championship. While studying International Relations, Journalism, and English at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, his passion for acting was ignited, landing him at Columbia College Chicago via a semester at University of Rhode Island. Michael immersed himself in the world of theatre and also discovered his talent for stage combat, earning high levels of distinction in multiple types of swordplay. Beyond the stages of Columbia, he has continued his exploration. He made his television debut in 2021 on American Horror Story. Michael occasionally lends his voice to an animated project or an audiobook narration. During the intermissions of his acting life Michael can be found torturing himself on the golf course, pretending to surf, or taking photographs around Los Angeles.
