Emily Prior is a 15 year old model, actor and disability activist who is challenging the industry to not only include disability but ensuring disability is included by making her own short films and including disability in them. Her message is always the same. 'It's important to represent people with a disability in TV, Film and Advertising because "it's who we are"
After appearing as an extra in several short films, in 2019 Emily made her appearance as the lead, 'Stella' in ABC's production of 'Rocky and Me'. In 2020, she starred as a Junior Reporter in ABCMe's "Me at Home", filmed during Covid, a daily fast-paced whip around the country to see how kids and celebs were staying entertained in isolation.
In 2021, Emily voiced the character of Quest for 60 episodes for ABCKids "The Wonder Gang". The Wonder Gang introduces preschoolers to the powerful art of finding facts through inquiry, observation and experimentation.
A storyteller in her own right, and after failing to see disability being represented in Film, Media and Advertising, Emily decided to forge her own path as a filmmaker. Emily has independently developed and filmed a short film called "Say Something" tackling the subject of bullying. She also created a series called "5 Minutes with Em" interviewing Perth celebrities and directed a documentary called "Changing lives through Sport"
Beyond acting, Emily is passionate about Wheelchair Rugby, hoping to one day soon join her beloved team. She is also a lover of all animals and would love to also work at the Zoo.
