Spencer Longmore is a leading man type actor, born in Harlem, NY
and raised in the South Bronx by his grandmother. In high school Longmore had dreams of going to the NBA,
however while in college, Longmore's passion for acting eventually overcame his love for basketball.
Immediately after graduating 05', with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Theater arts, Longmore got his first supporting role alongside Channing Tatum and Anne Fletcher in the musical dance hit, Step Up (2006). That same year Longmore, with the ability to join the screen actors union, moved to Los Angeles with his wife Amanda and daughter Fedora.
Upon his arrival, Longmore quickly got involved with his pursuits and booked the roles of Marullus/Trebonious in the stage production of Julius Caesar, as well as appeared in many short films, and worked on national commercials, with acclaimed directors such as Joe Pytka (Space Jam).
While doing more to get established, Longmore also got into producing, working on Giancarlo Esposito's directorial debut, Gospel Hill (20th Century Fox). The movie included a stellar cast of veteran actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Angela Bassett, and Julia Stiles. Longmore is credited as an Executive Producer on the film, an accomplishment to many, as he was only 23 years old at the time.
After working on Gospel Hill, Longmore learned a great deal about the business of independent movie making. He went on to make his own feature film Before Dawn Breaks, with inspiration from filmmakers like Spike Lee, and Robert Rodriguez, Longmore would write, direct, produce and star in the film. Which was edited into a 90-minute piece, however while in post-production of the film, Longmore had the need to take a break from the business, to focus on his growing family.
Three years later Longmore returned to the industry, having made over 20 films, both in front and behind the camera. He also started a non-profit film program where he helped serve nearly 500 students. As giving back to the youth is something he truly cares about.
Longmore has also grown into his type as a leading actor, helping to focus his marketability and branding. He continues to produce and develop independent content, as a way to tell his own stories and create more diverse opportunities.
Determined to make a difference using his gifts and resources, Longmore is dedicated to living a life of joy and integrity, as a husband, father, and artist.
