Yessenia "Yesse" Rodriguez has always made it a goal to continually strive for success and reach out for her dreams, all while working to ensure she remains grounded, humble and in tune with who she is as a person, model and actress. Since she was a child, this bilingual latina knew that she was destined for success and this meant continually trying new things and accepting the changes that came along the way. Born in Brooklyn, New York, at age two, Yesse and her mother relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she lived her childhood, adolescent and early adult life.
At age 11, Rodriguez was chosen as an extra in a children's television show that aired locally in Milwaukee. By age 14, Yesse began her modeling career in Milwaukee and she also became a student and ambassador of Strive Media Institute, a non-profit organization in Milwaukee, WI that helped students who were interested in television, film, and filmography. Strive Media Institute produced a teen newscast show called Gumbo Television, which aired in different areas across the country. Through Strive, Yesse also became one of the four main faces for the Gumbo Television Show and she even had the opportunity to travel to Sao Paolo, Brazil to film a documentary about child poverty and homelessness. After high school, Yesse pursued more modeling opportunities and became a model and brand ambassador for Aras Promotions. She continued to seek opportunities in modeling and acting, all while continuing to pursue a higher education.
In 2008, Rodriguez took a leap of faith and decided to leave her family behind in Milwaukee and relocated to North Carolina seeking for a change in lifestyle and scenery. She hoped that this change would help her further her personal and career growth, especially in her modeling and acting career. Today, Yessenia has more drive than ever before. Trying to do it all with her modeling, and acting. Additionally, Yesse passionately advocates her "Beauty & Brains" brand and has also obtained her Master's degree in Public Administration and Healthcare Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. Rodriguez believes that education and beauty are important because "when you feel good about who you are and love how you look, all while having the brains to support your looks, then you are a winner!" Rodriguez is also seeking to pursue a doctorate degree soon. Yesse was one of the featured models for the 2014 Women's Empowerment Fashion Show expo for the Leon Bramer Couture clothing line. She has worked with and been coached by Model International Coach Alva Page. BlackOpps Entertainment also selected Yesse as one of the five brand ambassador models for Crush Model Magazine in 2014 and she also landed the cover of the Crush Model Magazine Masquerade edition in November of 2014. Yesse has even worked with many talented photographers such as Rick Crank, Damien Prout, Erika King, Dean Photography and Kevin Lampkin to name a few.
In 2014, Yesse had the opportunity to film in Ride Along 2 alongside Kevin Hart and Ice Cube in a featured "hot girl" role as Cherry Red sitting alongside Hart. She also took part in the filming for the Longest Ride as a Hospital Doctor. She recently filmed in "But deliver us from Evil" in a featured role alongside Pooch Hall and Latavia Roberson to name a few. Yesse has also landed a supporting actor and co-star roles in the Daughters of Hustle film series as Attorney Kalima Riley and has even worked alongside Director Vince A. Stitt, Reggie Adams, and Author/ Director MD Morris. Yessenia has worked in other local and national movies and commercials and has walked in many local and nationwide fashion shows. She passionately continues her drive in Acting and modeling and always makes sure that she pushes herself for more, all while remaining meek and true to who she is.
Rodriguez always seeks to further her career in acting and modeling all while helping others along the way. While dedicatedly promoting her "Beauty & Brains" brand, Yesse reminds young girls and those who look up to her that pursuing an education all while staying true to who you are is the key to happiness and success. Her philosophy is that the "sky is never the limit because the Galaxy is endless". Today, Yesse has many exciting projects in the works that range from fashion shows (local and national), commercials and filming in several feature and short films.
