Featured in the new Brad Pitt movie Bullet Train, M.G.Gong can be seen as JIA KENMIN on the Emmy award winning HBO TV drama series "OZ" written and produced by Tom Fontana & Barry Levinson (Borgia, The Killing Fields, Copper, Homicide, St. Elsewhere, Rain Man, Diner, Wag The Dog, and Good Morning Vietnam). He was also featured in the original company of The Grammy and Tony Award winning Cy Coleman Broadway musical, THE LIFE, directed by Michael Blakemore and produced by Academy Award winning producer, Marty Richards (Chicago).
In addition to his study in various styles of martial arts along with his developing projects for the meta verse, M.G.Gong's work with Fu' Entertainment as executive producer and co-writer of a French dram-edy entitled "Maurice" was selected as an Official Selection of The Cannes Short Film Festival 2017 along with being selected as one of the winners of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival Screenplay Competition for Best Screenplay for a TV Comedy Pilot in 2017. "Maurice", the web series, has screened in Los Angeles, Rome, Glasgow, Seoul, Miami, and Bilbao, Spain where it won "Top Ahmet" as Best New Series in all categories. In addition, M.G.Gong's new docu-series entitled "My Revolution...Working from The Inside Out" was selected as a Finalist at The European Cinematography Awards in Warsaw, Poland; while their documentary in association with Mandarin Films called "Escaping The Temple" has been selected as an Official Selection for Best International Documentary at The 2017 Fabrique du Cinema Awards in Rome, Italy where actor Willem Dafoe (Spiderman, The English Patient, Platoon, Grand Budapest Hotel) was President of The Jury. Their new documentary "Reflektor" tells the rise of China through the eyes of one of China's most popular punk rock bands.
With his on-going Masters studies in Geneva and a degree in Public Affairs and a concentration on International Relations & Immigration, M.G.Gong is passionate about the arts and its importance to cultural diversity, M.G.Gong continues to develop his on-going passion projects with the United Nations and its NGO programs which include the martial arts, a peer to peer international film exchange program, and a drama/cultural exchange program with Outlook of China Culture and Arts based in Beijing, China. M.G.Gong's ultimate initiative is building an "IP bridge" between the East and West by producing projects based on the development of "emerging Chinese talent" and producing IP content and marketing China talent to Hollywood and international markets by producing English language projects, while bringing established IPs and its established Hollywood talents from the US to Asia and the Asia Pacific markets.
Prior to his work on television and Broadway, M.G.Gong worked as a performer on world tours, music videos, and live shows with Madonna, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, U2, Diana Ross, Celine Dion, Prince, Chayanne, Jon Secada, Selena, Whoopi Goldberg and many others. During this time, he also performed in such shows as: The MTV Awards, The Grammy's, The VH-1 Honors, The Oscars, The BET Awards, Paris Is Burning, The Miss USA Pageant, The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, Comic Relief, Glam Slam, Wetten Das, The Opening Ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and The Super Bowl Halftime Show with Diana Ross. He was later asked to perform in a Kevin Costner/Peter Buffett TV special and musical tour entitled "SPIRIT": A Journey of Dance, Drums, and Song, a unique collaboration between the Native American Indians of The Oneida Nation and Broadway show performers.
M.G.Gong has also worked as co-host/producer with fitness pro Gay Gasper on the fitness TV show and DVD "Cardio Karate" and is featured in the DVD "The Perfect Martial Arts Workout", both produced with long-time fitness expert JB Berns, creator of "Urban Rebounding." Later, while in The New Territories of Hong Kong, M.G.Gong created his own brand of cardio martial arts workouts for all the major fitness brands in North America called : ROGUE HK where you "train as if you're preparing for a fight scene in a movie.." ROGUE HK has been featured in Self, Health and Fitness, ABC Health News, and Glamour Magazine where it was dubbed the "All - time coolest exercise class in the world, ever. Really ... "
In his spare time, M.G.Gong has worked with martial artist's in Hong Kong against child slavery in South Africa and currently serves on the review board for The Bruce Lee Foundation and Seattle Central Foundation providing financial assistance to students in the central areas of Seattle.
