Award winning commercial director and filmmaker, Megan Sullivan, got her start 16 years ago in Broadcast Journalism with a passion for telling stories. From traveling to the 7 New Wonders of the World in 13 days to lighting up Half Dome and climbing the three passes of Everest, Megan seeks out adventure and experiences to further develop an ever-evolving outlook on creativity. This knowledge inherently blends into her professional work in commercial advertising as a Director and Creative Director for global brands including Apple, Google, lululemon, and Samsung. In 2018, Megan took a pause on her commercial directing career to refocus and align to her true passion: social impact storytelling. She seeks out inspirational stories that have the power to shift the consciousness and narrative on a global scale. In 2019, she wrote and Directed the award winning 4-Part Documentary series, Courage To Question. A partnership with Google and UN Women, the series followed four Women's Rights Defenders from around the world tackling human rights violations. The films debuted and were exhibited at the UN Headquarters in NYC for International Women's Day with the trailer released during the general assembly. As a member of Women in Film LA and Women in Entertainment, she advocates for gender equality opportunities for women on and off of her set and provides mentorship within her community. In 2020, she started work on a documentary in Kenya, showcasing the work of a female doctor fixing cleft palates, hernias, fistulas and cataracts in the rural city of Meru. During the COVID-19 lockdown orders, she worked with Google and the YouTube Social Impact team creating a cross-platform campaign raising awareness for the increase of domestic and sexual violence.
