Karthika Menon, better known by her stage name Bhavana, is a versatile Indian actress acclaimed for her contributions to the Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil film industries. Born in Thissur, Kerala, Bhavana is the daughter of assistant cinematographer G. Balchandran and Pushpa. Her journey began at Holy Family Convent Girls High School, Thrissur, where she laid the foundation for her future in the world of cinema.

In 2002, at the tender age of 16, Bhavana marked her cinematic debut with the Malayalam film "Nammal." Her remarkable performance earned her a Kerala State Special Jury Award, setting the stage for a prolific career.
