Karthika Menon, better known by her stage name Bhavana, is a versatile Indian actress acclaimed for her contributions to the Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil film industries. Born in Thissur, Kerala, Bhavana is the daughter of assistant cinematographer G. Balchandran and Pushpa. Her journey began at Holy Family Convent Girls High School, Thrissur, where she laid the foundation for her future in the world of cinema.

In 2002, at the tender age of 16, Bhavana marked her cinematic debut with the Malayalam film "Nammal." Her remarkable performance earned her a Kerala State Special Jury Award, setting the stage for a prolific career. Over the years, she has received numerous accolades, including the Kerala State Film Award, Asianet Film Award, Jersey Foundation Award, and Kalakeralam Award, testifying to her exceptional talent and dedication.

Bhavana's cinematic repertoire extends beyond Malayalam cinema, making a significant impact in Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu languages. Her Tamil debut in 2006 with "Chithiram Pesuthadi" showcased her versatility as she portrayed the character of Charumathi. Subsequently, she graced Tamil films like "Veyil," "Koodal Nagar," "Vaazhthugal," and "Aasal," leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

In 2008, Bhavana ventured into Telugu cinema with "Ontari," expanding her reach across South Indian cinema. Her Kannada debut in 2010 with "Jackie" marked another milestone in her career. Bhavana's notable Kannada films include "Vishnuvardhana," "Topiwala," "Mythri," "Mukunda Murari," "Bhajarangi 2," and "Govinda Govinda."

Beyond her illustrious filmography, Bhavana is known for her cameo role in "Thilakkam" and an item number in "Runaway" in 2004, showcasing her versatility in various roles.
