His father Thakur Rajendra Singh Mahiarya is a reputed hotelier & mother Dr Prabha Thakur - a highly renowned poet & veteran parliamentarian. A comfortable career start in politics or hospitality was the convenient choice but unlike most, Rahul opted for the uncertain life adventure of an artist.
