Daphne Sheldrick was born on 4 June 1934 in Kenya. She is known for The Flame Trees of Thika (1981), Bloody Ivory (1978) and For the Love of Elephants (2010). She was married to Bill Woodley and David Sheldrick. She died on 12 April 2018 in Nairobi, Kenya.
