Up and coming advocate, actor/music artist, Joshua Elizondo was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on March 5, 1996 to Cynthia and Ricardo Elizondo. During his early childhood years, Joshua participated in many extracurricular activities including figure skating, swimming and being a member of the Royal Oak Children's Choir, an audition only group that travels performing nationally. From a young age, Joshua found that performance was always a passion; however, in his early teens, life got in the way of his ability to focus on these goals...
In 2001, Joshua's parents divorced leading to a road of challenges that would have him to end up being placed into the foster care system. Officially being removed from his parents care in early 2009, at the age of 13; Joshua bounced between homes and schools; often leaving him feeling alone, isolated and depressed; music and acting being his only outlet. Despite these challenges, in Joshua's Senior year, he was scouted by a manager during international acting competitions; fueling his cross country move to Los Angeles, California after graduation from Royal Oak High School in 2014.
Since being in Los Angeles, Joshua has starred in many productions. Including music videos for A-list celebrities and several films with speaking roles. Joshua was an intern at the Television Academy in 2019 and released a self-directed short film "Hereafter Yesterlyfe" in 2020.
Outside of entertainment Joshua is dual enrolled at Santa Monica College where he has completed 9 Associates degrees and at Pepperdine University where he is studying International Relations: Global Politics with a minor in Social Work, expecting to graduate in the spring of 2024. In August 2021, Elizondo was appointed to the California Community College Board of Governors that oversees all 116 colleges by Governor Newsom and separately appointed as a Commissioner for the LA County Board of Supervisors, foster youth commission, in September 2021.
Joshua's goal is to use the entertainment platform to bring awareness to social issues through his art and celebrity. Looking to the future, Joshua has been producing a debut single under the name Eli with Grammy-award winning producer Josh Stevens. Additionally, has been hard at work founding a group called The Foster Bunch, a group of up-and-coming entertainers that have also had experiences in the welfare system.
