Aleksandr Ustyugov is a Russian theater, film and television actor, theater and film director, musician.

Ustyugov was born in Ekibastuz. After graduating from Ekibastuz secondary school No. 15, he entered vocational school No. 18 as an electrician for the repair, installation and dismantling of mining equipment. Graduated from vocational school with honors. For five years he studied at the art school with S. P. Panteleev (1988-1993). Aleksandr was also engaged in boxing at the Youth Sports School.

He decided to continue his education in Omsk, where in 1993 Ustyugov entered the Omsk State Academy of Railways with a degree in car building engineering. He studied there for three semesters at the full-time department, then transferred to the correspondence department in connection with joining the Omsk Youth Theater as a gaffer, and then joined the acting troupe of the theater. In 1996 he entered the Omsk Regional College of Culture and Art. After graduating from it, he moved to Moscow, where in 1999 he entered the Higher Theater School named after Boris Shchukin (course of Rodion Ovchinnikov). In 2003, after graduating from college, he was invited to the troupe of the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT) in Moscow, where he served until 2014.

Fame brought him the role of Roman Shilov in the television series Mentovskie voyny (2005). Aleksandr is also known for his roles in such films and TV series as Ottsy i deti (2008), Privet ot Katyushi (2013), Sled tigra (2014), 28 panfilovtsev (2016), Viking (2016), Zolotaya Orda (2018), Better Than Us (2018), Godunov (2018), Soyuz spaseniya (2019), Rikoshet (2020), Killer (2022) and Beshenstvo (2023).
