Chauncey Duren began his career working in film, television, and print as a child actor. With humble beginnings in school plays, he worked his way up to where he is today with parts in major national ad campaigns, motion pictures, television shows, and TV commercials.

In 1993, Chauncey made his feature film debut in the movie The Break working alongside The West Wing's Martin Sheen as well as Vince Van Patten and Rae Dawn Chong. Next, Chauncey worked in the film To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything!

In addition to his many appearances in film and television, Chauncey has appeared in numerous national ad campaigns for companies such as Miller Genuine Draft, Merrill Lynch, Sprint, Dominos, AT&T, Motorola, and Jennifer Convertibles.

Chauncey's parents, both members of the medical community Dr. Chauncey L. Duren Sr. and Claudette Duren, are very proud of their son because he's been able to work in the movie industry and still find time to start CDXComputergroup, a small computer company based in New York City.

Chauncey's mother Claudette Duren is from the very famous Dulatown in Lenoir NC of which there is a PBS Special. For even more history of Chauncey and his family, there is also a book by Leslie Dula McKesson Black & White: The Story of Harriet Harshaw & Squire James Alfred Dula. Yes, Chauncey is a Dula as well and is very proud of his ancestors and how strong they were.

Chauncey has also written a movie entitled Socially Correct, a moving commentary on children and society which he hopes to usher into production one day.

When he's not working, Chauncey enjoys playing golf, Indy car racing (Team Penske), and donating time to his favorite charities including The First Tee, The Starlight Foundation, and The Make A Wish Foundation. He especially loves kids. Chauncey has been a Member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences and the exclusive Screen Actors Guild film society of which he is still a member.

With over 30 TV commercials shot as well as numerous TV shows and movies, he has years of experience on many commercial & movie sets with great crews. While being away from the business for some time he has recently returned and worked with the famed director Ron Oliver on Christmas At The Plaza, a 2019 Hallmark movie where he played a bellman set in New York City at The Plaza Hotel.

He was very proud to be a Nominating Committee member - 5th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. He is a member of the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) & All Movie Guide. He is also an Alumni of Pepperdine University, Malibu CA. Chauncey is especially interested in helping children loves outdoor activities- especially golf.
